Кыргызстан, Ош (16 мая 2013 года) – В южной столице Кыргызстана проходит III Национальный форум сообщества людей живущих с ВИЧ под названием «В единстве наша сила». В Форуме принимают участие более 100 человек. Главной целью данного мероприятия является разработка механизмов взаимодействия госструктур с сообществом ЛЖВ в деле противодействия ВИЧ-инфекции, в обеспечении ВИЧ-положительных людей полноценного лечения препаратами антиретровирусной терапии. В дни работы форума представители сообщества ЛЖВ будут также обсуждать шаги по усилению контроля качества и эффективности диагностики и лечения ВИЧ.

September 28 – October 10 – The Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Youth, Labor and Employment organized workshops on developing an implementation matrix of the National Action Plan for Achieving Gender Equality for 2012-2014 in all provinces of the country. Representatives of the government, local municipalities, regional offices of ministries and agencies, as well as civil society discussed and identified the role of territorial governance bodies in implementation of the National Gender Strategy and the National Action Plan (NAP) for Achieving Gender Equality for 2012-2014. They also developed an action plan on NAP at the local level. The workshops were organized with support of the joint EU-UN Nations “Operationalising Good Governance for Social Justice” project and UNDP “Capacity Development Facility” project. July 21-28 – Experts discussed and tested a unique methodology of conflict-sensitive analysis of bills, which was developed with support of the UNDP project on support to new legal frame work. The methodology is able to reveal potential conflicts that bills can cause in society on stage of their discussion. Lawyers and conflictology experts approbated the methodology on few bills that were actively discussed in society. After discussions experts made some remarks and suggested changes to the methodology. The methodology was developed with support of the UN Peacebuilding Fund. New York, 27 September 2012 — Over 40 representatives of UN member states, donors and international development agencies met with the delegation from Kyrgyzstan led by Parliament Speaker Asylbek Jeenbekov, to discuss the current political, economic and social situation in Kyrgyzstan - the first country in Central Asia that has adopted parliamentary democracy in summer 2010.

Бишкек, Кыргызстан (23 августа 2012 г.) – Сегодня в конференц-зале «Park - Hotel» представители Министерства здравоохранения Кыргызской Республики, Службы «СПИД», а также неправительственных и международных организаций обсуждают вопросы по стабилизации ВИЧ-инфекции в Кыргызской Республике на 2012-2016 гг., помимо этого поднят вопрос о  реформировании Службы СПИД.

May 11–17 – An information campaign to launch activities within the new EU-UN “Operationalising Good Governance for Social Justice” Project took place in all seven provinces of the country. Representatives of the UN agencies participating in the project – UNICEF, UN Women, UNESCO and UNDP visited visited several rural municipalities and met representatives of state and local authorities, NGOs and local communities to discuss cooperation within the project in details. Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (June 19, 2012) – On June 18 UN Resident Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic Alexander Avanessov met with the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Omurbek Babanov. During the meeting parties signed an Action Plan for implementation of the Country Programme for 2012-2016. Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) is a framework document that covers all areas indicated in UNDAF * and the UNDP Country Programme and contains more detailed and concrete actions for the achievement of its objectives and indicators.

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (May 25, 2012) - United Nations Resident Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic of Alexander Avanessov met with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev.

President Atambayev briefly told about policies currently implemented in the country and plans for the coming years, aimed at consolidating stability, improving standards of living, strengthening peace, ethnic harmony and democracy as well as fighting corruption. The President expressed his appreciation of cooperation with the UN and UNDP, important and timely assistance to the country. He highlighted that this assistance is a selfless and significant contribution to the tasks associated with the development priorities of the country.

April 16-23 – 30 young people from all seven provinces participated in an eight-day youth camp in "Ak-Tash" guest house, Chui province. The camp was titled "Unity and harmony - a pledge of peace!" and aimed at improving capacity of youth in conflict resolution in their communities and disseminate the knowledge among their peers in the regions. Camp participants also discussed a contingency plan during organization of elections in the country under the project "Infrastructure for the peace - political dialogue and preventive actions". They also learned about mechanisms of interaction between NGOs, government structure and international organizations in conflict situations and during peace building activities. Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (May 18, 2012) – As part of the Global Fund grants UNDP together with the associations of people living with HIV (PLHIV) organized several events dedicated to the World AIDS Memorial Day. This day is marked on the third Sunday of May to commemorate victims of AIDS and raise public awareness of issues related to HIV.
