Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Youth Affairs Consolidates the Efforts of Youth NGOs to Develop National Youth Policy
Development of the platform to improve and enhance the coordination of activities targeted to develop national youth policy in Kyrgyzstan will be main topic of the Round Table «Coordination meeting between Ministry of Youth Affairs and NGOs», the event is conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs (MYA) with support of Youth Project of UNDP Democratic Governance Programme and Youth Programme of «Soros-Kyrgyzstan» Foundation.  


The event will host public discussions of the action plan in the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Youth Affairs (MYA) on development of National Youth Policy till 2015. In addition, the event will help identify areas of partnership with committed programmess and projects of international organizations in the field of youth development.

It is anticipated to consider the current agenda and plans of civil society institutions and opportunities to accumulate efforts to address the challenges faced by youth under conditions of transition period.

This roundtable is the first measure in a series of actions to be implemented by MYA to coordinate efforts in the process of implementation of youth policy. In addition, the following activities are planned:

  • The Roundtable “The Coordination Meeting of MYA KT with NGOs”; (March 11, 2011)
  • The Roundtable “The meeting of MYA KR with line ministries and agencies of KR to identify ways of cooperation in the area of youth policy”; (March 29, 2011)
  • The Roundtable with the sectorial agencies and Ministries to identify the common ground to deliver youth policy;   (May 26, 2011)
  • The Fair of Youth Initiatives (June 1, 2011)
